An Effective and Compelling Two-Light Portrait Photography Setup | Fstoppers

Portrait lighting is about more than creating a technically correct exposure; it is your chance to add your creative touch to your images and create a memorable style. Once you are comfortable with a single light, multiple lights will open an entirely new world of possibilities for your work. This excellent video tutorial will show you an effective two-light setup for creating compelling portraits.

Coming to you from Eli Infante, this great video tutorial will show you a great two-light setup for portraiture work. In this case, Infante is using a Westcott FJ400 in tandem with a 24-inch beauty dish. No doubt, you can absolutely create professional photos using a single light, but adding a second light opens up so many more creative possibilities by allowing you to light the backdrop separately, add a bit of rim light, and more. Just be sure you have fully mastered the behavior of single lights first, as that will make it far easier to tackle multi-light setups. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Infante.
